FAQs for Catering of Live Stations & Buffets
Q: You require a minimum order of 30pax (60 pieces of crepes) in order for your crepe chef to come to our event. I do not have 30 guests and cannot meet your minimum but I really like to have your crepes at my party.
A: You'll be surprised at how many crepes your guests can eat! From our experience, every guest eats at least 2 crepes and sometimes up to 4 (especially if it is dinner time)! We have both savoury and sweet crepes for your guests to choose from. If you cater crepes from us, simply order some of our party platters and your party is ready to start!
Q: I have already catered main dishes such as rice or noodles from other caterers but would like to have your crepe station as a dessert station for the party. Can this be arranged?
A: Certainly. In this case, you'll simply need to order our basic crepe live station package at the minimum required order of 30 pax and request for all sweet crepes when placing your order.
Q: I would like to have all sweet crepes (or all savoury crepes), can that be arranged?
A: Definitely, just place your order via our online order form and state your request under the [Comments] box in the order form.
Q: How much space do you require for the mobile crepe station?
A: We will bring our own electrical crepe stoves that will sit on any table tops. You would need to provide a space big enough for our chef to set up our table(2m by 1m) in order for our crepe chefs to cook comfortably. The table can be placed at any part of your house or function room but there should be a dedicated electricity point for us to use. We'll bring the rest of the items required for our own set-up.
Q: My function room does not allow cooking. Can we still cater your crepes?
A: We use electric stoves and as such there is hardly any smoke or flumes. There is no deep-frying or heavy cooking of our crepes as we do not use any oil in our cooking. We've done many events held in air-conditioned function rooms and have not encountered any problems. If you are unsure, please check with your building management.
Q: How many power outlet or electricity point do you require for your electric/induction stove?
A: Each chef will use 1 stove for the live station, each stove will require 1 dedicated power outlet/electricity point. This is the prevent a power trip which may cause your event to be delayed or cancelled due to the power trip. (Dedicated = not shared with other electrical appliances/equipment, the number of chefs arranged for your live station are dependant on number of pax ordered)
Q: Can the live station be placed outdoors at the garden or by the pool?
A: Yes you can as long as there is an electricity point nearby that we can use. The outdoor venue should be sheltered with adequate lighting and good ventilation for our chefs to work in. You should also have a back-up plan should it rain on the day of your party.
Q: How many chefs will be at my party and for how long?
A: As a general rule, our chefs will be at the event for maximum 3 hours ( including set-up and dismantle time of 15mins) or when all your orders have been made, whichever is earlier.
For orders less than 60 pax, there will be one chef.
For orders between 61-100pax, you should hire two chefs.
Q: Are you able to do corporate events whereby there are up to 500 people?
A: We are able to do corporate events for up to 600 crepes or more.
For such events, we'll send more crepe chefs down to ensure that guests do not have to wait too long for their crepes. Such events also tend to stretch longer in duration of about 6-8 hours.
Q: I am interested in ordering the buffets/healthier buffet, how long is the duration of the buffet before your staff comes and collect the equipment?
A: Our buffets comes with food warmers/chaffing dishes and there will be a total of 2.5 hours of eating time for you and your guests.
Q: I am interested in ordering the party platters, will there be any food warmers or chaffing dish set up?
A: Our party platters is a drop off service and does not come with any food warmer or chaffing dish set up. The food will be delivered to you in disposable containers and should be consumed within 2 hours.
Q: I've sent in my order form but have yet to receive any reply/updates, what should i do?
A: Confirmation will usually be sent to you via email in about 3 working days after you send in your order. Kindly check your junk/spam mail as our email may end up there will from to time to time. If you've check your email/junk mail and have not receive our confirmation email, kindly contact us via email @ [email protected] or whatsapp our catering number @ 97876841.
