Cafe/Space Rental Terms & Conditions

Booking and Cancellation of Party

Bookings are non transferable. A booking fee of $200 must be paid to confirm the booking. All booking fees made are non-refundable, and will be used to offset the final invoice amount payable.
There will be also be a $200 refundable security deposit on top of the rental fee. The security deposit will be refunded to you within 7 days after the event date.
The Customer will be fully liable for any damages caused by them and their invitees during the booked party period. The security deposit will be forfeited and will not be refunded if so.
Saybons accepts no responsibility for any cancellation by the Customer. If notice of cancellation is given more than 48 hours prior to the event, only the booking fee will be forfeited. If notice of cancellation is less than 48 hours prior to the event, the full payment would be levied on the Customer.
All requests to postpone the booking by the Customer will be treated as a cancellation and a new booking, and such new bookings are subject to availability of the Venue at the point of request. Any refund of forfeiting booking fees will be at the sole discretion of Saybons.
Saybons reserves the right to advance, defer, terminate or cancel any confirmed venue bookings in the event where supervening circumstances make it necessary to do so. In such an event, Saybons will endeavor to give the Customer as much notice as reasonably practical. Saybons will refund the deposit paid by the Customer if Saybons cancels the booking and the Customer declines a rescheduling of the dates. Save as aforesaid, Saybons shall not have any liability to the Customer for any loss or damage arising from the exercise of the rights herein.

House Rules - General

The venue is primarily a café space. Usage of the venue is restricted to social gatherings like birthdays and family parties, or departmental and corporate celebratory get-togethers' with no commercial element. Using the space for product launches and other commercial intent must be declared before the booking in writing and accepted by Saybons.
Any activities that are unlawful under the Laws of Singapore and the regulations of the Singapore Food Agency are forbidden in this venue. Attention is specially brought to (a) No Smoking (b) No Pets (c) no sale of alcohol (d) no gambling
Any activity which may be or become an annoyance, disturbance or inconvenience to Saybons or the neighbors of the Venue is forbidden.
The Customer notes that the party date and time booked for includes any set up and clean up time required. The customer should vacate the Venue on or before the expiry date and time committed.
The Customer shall remove all personal property or other items that were not present in the Venue before the party, and return the venue as it was before the party.
The Customer shall treat all equipment, fixtures, furniture and/or items within the premises with respect and care, and there should be no tampering of these at all times. Screws, nails, masking tape, double-sided tape, or any devices of any description likely to deface the walls, floors or ceilings are not allowed to be used on any part of the venue. The Customer will be fully liable for any damages caused by them and their invitees during the booked party period.
The Tenant shall only stay within the dining area of the Venue. The Tenant shall not, at any time enter the kitchen area or counter area of the Venue.
If equipment is brought in for the party, the Customer shall be entirely responsible for the proper and safe setting up of all his props and for the proper working of all his own electrical, mechanical and other appliances. Saybons shall not be held liable for any loss or damage including but not limited to any accident or personal injury occurring to the public and/or any person engaged in connection with the work involved with the setting up of such props and the working of such appliances.
Over-amplification of sound by electronic devices that may cause annoyance to other users of the Venue, and/or become an annoyance to neighbors of the Venue is strictly prohibited.
Saybons shall not be held responsible for any loss of or damage to any properties of the Customer and their invitees.

House Rules –Food related

The Customer is encouraged to cater any party food and drinks required from Saybons. In the event where the Customer brings food and drinks from third party sources, including home cooked food or food from outside caterers, the Customer is solely responsible for the safety and quality of the food and drinks brought in. For clarity, the Customer indemnifies Saybons and its affiliates from all actions, claims, demands, losses and expenses which Saybons may become liable as a consequence of any acts, omission or negligence on the part of the Customer.
To prevent any form of cross contamination, the Customer, his invitees and any third party caterer involved in the provision of food and drink at the party is strictly forbidden to enter the kitchen and counter area of the Venue.
It is the responsibility of the Customer, his invitees and the third party caterer to remove from the Venue all rubbish and food waste generated at the end of the party.
